Chiel van der Veen Promoted to Associate Professor in Educational Science
Chiel van der Veen was recently promoted to associate professor in Educational Sciences. Additionally, since June 1 he has been head of the section of Educational Sciences. In his new role, van der Veen will continue his research on learning and social interaction, play, and Developmental Education. A few examples of his work are (1) Iris Bogaers PhD-project on the role of silence during classroom conversations in the upper grades of secondary school, (2) Elizabeth Wynbergs’ PhD-project on young children’s object-oriented play, and (3) an NRO-funded project on dialogic writing as an integrated and meaningful approach to language education.
New Grants for Christophe Cauchy and liu meimei
Christophe Cauchy has received a Fyssen Foundation Postdoc grant to work with prof. Martijn Meeter on the basics of reading.Christophe will begin his work in January of 2023.
Liu Meimei has received a grant for a PhD position on motivation-achievement interactions to work together with prof. Nienke van Atteveldt and prof. Martijn Meeter.
