The Growth fund program Ontwikkelkracht, of which a part is led by Chris van Klaveren and Ilja Cornelisz, is hiring its first PhD students. Meanwhile, a second growth fund program with LEARN! researchers in the cockpit have been funded. Anne Fleur Kortekaas is one of the leaders of the new program focusing on in-service teacher professionalisation.
New PhD students started within the Learning Sciences program. Ilona Fasseart and Mayke Nollet started as PhD students on starting grants awarded to Anne de Bruijn and Melvin Vooren, respectively.
Maartje Raijmakers, Melanie Ehren & Anne Fleur Kortekaas received a grant from the Education Development Trust for a knowledge exchange program for school leaders and teacher academies (2023-2024). The exchange programme is based on the SPP (Schools Partnership Programme)-methodology for peer-led school evaluation by school leaders. The staff and school leaders from the VU (EMPO partnership), Edu Caixa (Barcelona, Spain) and UCL (London) are actively involved in the programme.
Helen Korving started as a postdoc on an NRO fieldlab that will investigate inclusive digital pedagogies. The fieldlab was awarded to Hanna Westbroek, Sharon Calor and Sui Lin Goei, in collaboration with other Amsterdam teacher education institutes.
Maaike Radix received a teacher's grant for PhD research on feedback to students in special schools. She is being supervised by Judith ‘t Gilde, Chiel vd Veen, and Nienke van Atteveldt
