Malou Stoffels

My name is Malou Stoffels and I am a (part-time) PhD student in the team Research in Education under the supervision of Rashmi Kusurkar. My research is about nursing students' learning process in the clinical setting. I investigate the optimal balance between informal, spontaneous learning from the unique characteristics of each clinical setting, and (self-) structured learning in accordance with the formal curriculum. I use different qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, integrating perceptions, conceptions and behaviors of students, supervisors and educators.
