News from the Learning Sciences program:

• Bregje de Vries started a research project on regional knowledge networks in secondary education, funded by an NRO grant 

• Marjolein Dobber, together with Roel van Steensel, won a grant to evaluate the #BOOK intervention. This is a Book Club intervention to get students in secondary special schools (VSO in Dutch) to read more

• Felienne Hermans made the cover of Communications of ACM with her co-authored article “10 Things Software Developers Should Learn about Learning".

• Anne Fleur Kortekaas has been appointed to the program board of Ontwikkelkracht, a very large consortium trying to improve the development of schools in the Netherlands.

News from the Educational Neuroscience program: 

• Tieme Janssen and Nienke van Atteveldt have been awarded a Proof of Concept (PoC) grant of 150,000 euro by the European Research Council (ERC) for the project Explore Your Brain 2.0: a maximally effective, usable and scalable growth mindset intervention to break through adolescents’ declining rates of motivation and school achievements. News from the Educational Governance program:

• The 2024 issue of the ICSEI Dialogic has been released, which features a contribution by Anders Schinkel, titled "Education in the Anthropocene: the Importance Of (Re)searching Together" .
