About the speaker:
Maartje is a full Professor of Educational Sciences & Orthopedagogics and co-leader of the LEARN! program Learning Sciences. In addition, she is affiliated to the NEMO Science Museum as Professor of Cognitive Development (University of Amsterdam). Her main interest is development of perception and learning, from infancy to adulthood. She studies learning processes in a broad sense, including curiosity, exploration, causal reasoning, mental models, conceptual change, and interest development.
