From 24 to 27 August 2022, the EARLI group Conceptual Change will hold its biennial conference, this year at Windesheim in Zwolle. The conference theme is "Learning with Conceptual Change in Higher Education and Professional Life" and with that there is extra attention for teacher education.
Conceptual Change is a broad theoretical framework that describes learning and the acquisition of knowledge as slow, incremental adaptations of what someone already knows. It originated in the cognitive movement of the 1970s and 1980s and has since been developed into a rich theory with attention to cognitive, affective and epistemological perspectives. Every year, thousands of studies with conceptual change theory as a basis are published in many fields, especially in education.
I would like to cordially invite everyone to attend the conference, or part of it. Of course, there is also the opportunity to present work. A small practical research project or a larger study, by means of a poster, a presentation or a separate internal symposium or discussion group. The closing date for registration for a presentation is 16 February.
