Jana Runze

I am Jana, a third year PhD-student at the Clinical Child and Family Studies group of the POW department under the supervision of Professor Dr. Marian Bakermans-Kranenburg and Professor Dr. Mirjam Oosterman. At the moment, I am involved in an experimental accelerated cohort-sequential longitudinal twin intervention study (called “Samen Uniek”) that includes children aged 3 to 13 years (circa 500 twin pairs and their parents). My personal research foci within this project are examining the impact of the environment and parenting on the psychoendocrinology of the children, testing the differential susceptibility hypothesis and conducting (behavior) genetics studies. Besides this, I am organizing the M-these atelier to support the master students of POW in writing their thesis and I am following the University Teaching Qualification cursus. Also, I am a member of the PhD Education Committee (PEC) and a board member of Forum for Young Scientists, a group that organizes workshops for PhDs and Postdocs. In my free time, I spend much time with my dog Lea, going for a run or to the gym and practicing my piano skills, as I just started taking piano lessons.'
